Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate is expected to work in fields of (astro)particle physics related to the theory and phenomenology of neutrino masses, mixings and interactions, within or beyond the standard model, in synergy with the Bari research group in Theoretical Astroparticle Physics (TAsP).

TAsP Bari group:

TAsP Bari activity:

Concerning neutrino physics and astrophysics, the group is currently involved in various research topics:
the global analysis of world neutrino oscillation data (solar, atmospheric, accelerator, reactor) in the three-flavor framework;
the interplay of oscillation and non-oscillation constraints on neutrino mass and mixing parameters (using data from laboratory and cosmology);
the interpretation of anomalous oscillation results in terms of new (sterile) neutrino states or new (nonstandard) interactions;
the study of nonlinear flavor transitions triggered by neutrino-neutrino interactions in supernovae;
prospective studies of precision oscillation searches.
[Other research activities cover string cosmology, modified gravity theories and axion-like candidates for dark matter.]
The group also organizes the biannual conference Neutrino Oscillation Workshop (NOW): https://www.ba.infn.it/now
