The NOW 2016 Workshop will be held at the "Basiliani Resort & SPA" [http://www.basilianiresort.com/en]. The venue is located at walking distance (~25') from the old town of Otranto and its local beach. We will take care of shuttle transportation and of room reservation, on the basis of the information contained in your registration form. Do not contact the Basiliani Resort by yourself.

 

If you have been invited, please read carefully the following information. We strongly recommend participation for the whole Workshop period, i.e., arrival on Sept. 4 (Sunday) and departure on Sept. 11 (Sunday). Accommodation at the Basiliani Resort cannot be extended beyond these dates. Rooms will be available to the NOW 2016 participants from 4:00 pm (Sept. 4) to 10:00 am (Sept. 11). There is a surcharge for short stay (less than 4 nights), see below. Once again: please do not contact the Resort, since we will take care of your reservation by using your registration information.

Surcharge for short stay (less than 4 nights): +10 Euro/night/person

Surcharge for Comfort Junior Room: +40 Euro/night/room

Surcharge for Comfort Family Room: +60 Euro/night/room (not applied if fully occupied by 4 people)

 

One must add, to the above Hotel rates, the so-called tourist "City Tax" applied by the City of Otranto. In 2015, the tax amounted to +2 Euro/night/person (except for children 0-11 years), and is expected to be the same during Summer 2016.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

You may express a preference for a particular room category in your NOW 2016 Registration form. However, final room assignments will be decided by the NOW 2016 organizers, in order to optimize all the participants' requests. Note that Classic rooms are located at short walking distance from the Resort central buildings through an external walkway (including a few tens of steps), which may not be suitable for people with disabilities or carrying baby strollers. In such cases, please inform us in the Comment field of the Registration form.

 

 

FURTHER RESORT SERVICES AND SPA:

The NOW 2016 participants may use the Basiliani SPA services and other Resort facilities at their own expenses. Each entry to the SPA humid zone is set at 20 Euro/person (only >16 years), and includes bathrobe, scuffs, towel and a hot drink (herb tea). Information on other Resort & SPA services and prices will be available at the Reception on site. Access to the outdoor Swimming Pool and Solarium is free of charge.
