Crystalline Color Superconductivity

Abstract
I will present an effective theory for QCD in the Color Superconducting (CSC) phase. It has been recently shown that for two flavors the CSC phase is characterized by isospin breaking and the emergence of a crystalline pattern of the diquark condensate. We survey the low energy properties of this form of quark matterand we discuss possible astrophysical applications.
