Color superconductivity in high density QCD

Roberto Casalbuoni

Abstract

In this talk we will review the color superconductive phases of QCD at high density and zero temperature. A particular emphasis will be given to the study of the problem under realistic conditions, i.e. non zero mass of the strange quark, color and electric neutrality, weak equilibrium. Under these conditions a mismatch among the Fermi momentaof the fermions exists. This may give rise to a transition to a normal phase or to new gapless phases. We will discuss some of these phases together with the crystalline phase of QCD.
