Universality along a line of critical points. The Ashkin-Teller model

Gesualdo Delfino

Abstract

The two-dimensional Ashkin-Teller model provides the simplest example of a statistical system exhibiting a line of critical points along which the critical exponents vary continously. We discuss the field theoretical description of the scaling limit in terms of the sine-Gordon model and show how the universal amplitude ratios can be computed non-perturbatively along the whole critical line.
