Non Relativistic Effective Field Theories for Heavy Quarkonium
Abstract
QCD nonrelativistic effective field theories (NREFT) are the modern and most suitable frame to describe heavy quarkonium properties. In this talk I review some relevant concepts and interesting physical applications (spectrum, decays, production, precision measurement of standard model parameters) of NREFT. The activities of the International Quarkonium Working Group (http://alephwww.physik.uni-siegen.de/~quarkonium/) are also briefly presented.
