Purpose
Led by CNR, ITINERIS will constitute the first hub of environmentally themed research infrastructures for the study and observation of atmospheric processes, the marine environment, the terrestrial biosphere, the geosphere, supporting access to data and services and supporting Italy in present and future climate challenges. The main objective is to develop multidisciplinary research in environmental sciences on some crucial topics, such as the sustainable use of environmental resources, the development of nature-centered solutions, the reduction of air pollution, the management of critical zones and ecosystems, and climate change mitigation.
