Purpose
The project PANTHEON (Perspectives in Astroparticle and Neutrino THEory with Old and New messengers), financed as PRIN 2022E2J4RK.

PANTHEON aims at performing advanced research on open theoretical problems in neutrino and astroparticle physics and cosmology, along four working packages:

WP1 Standard neutrino framework (three-neutrino flavor oscillations, absolute mass observables, Dirac or Majorana nature);

WP2 Beyond the standard framework (connections of neutrinos with new physics beyond the standard model, including new states and interactions);

WP3 Sources and fluxes of known and new messengers (theory and phenomenology of astrophysical sources of neutrinos, gamma rays, cosmic rays, gravitational waves, as well as axions and other exotic particles, and multimessenger approach);

WP4 The standard cosmological model and beyond (study of precision cosmological data and their tensions in the context of neutrino and dark matter physics, within and beyond the standard cosmological model).

In this multidisciplinary field, besides the research activities, there is also a widely recognized need for a deeper exchange of information and ideas, for a stronger support to the career path of (under)graduate students and young researchers, for a broader dissemination of the results in the scientific community, and for a more effective narration of the scientists’ work and achievements within the society.
The PANTHEON research program will thus be integrated by exchange visits, (co)tutoring of students, organization of events, and outreach activities, for which there is a solid basis of common experience shared by the project units.
