Title DARE – Digital Lifelong Prevention

Project Type National plan for investments complementary to the PNRR

Call for tender
Directorial Decree No. 931 of 06/06/2022 Public notice for the granting of funding for research initiatives for innovative technologies and paths in the health and care sector financed from the resources provided by the Fund complementary to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan

Identification code PNC0000002

CUP B53C22006480001

Fund grant deed D. D. No. 1985 12/09/2022

Purpose
The ambitious objective of DARE is to create and develop, through research, innovation and the participation of multiple stakeholders, a connected and distributed knowledge community that produces, collects and systematizes multidisciplinary knowledge and solutions (technical, ethical-legal and organizational) necessary to support Italy’s leadership in the field of digital prevention.

In particular, the DARE initiative will work to improve the tools and knowledge that allow us to exploit the enormous potential of data to define, monitor and predict prevention and health promotion pathways.

This can be achieved through health data, i.e. information, covering paper and digital documents, that directly relates to an individual’s state of health and well-being or to the health services the individual receives, collected by health professionals or patients themselves. But also, increasingly, through health-related data (also known as citizen-generated data), i.e. data that is not immediately related to an individual’s health and well-being but which could be used to support health decisions, such as sociodemographic, telecommunications data and meteorological data.
