SM&FT 2022: XIX Workshop on Statistical Mechanics and non perturbative Field Theory

From 19 to 21 December, in room A (“Beppe Nardulli” room) of the Physics Department of the University of Bari will take place “SM&FT 2022“, the 19th edition of the traditional “SM&FT” workshop on “Statistical Mechanics and Non-Perturbative Field Theory”, whose first edition was in 1988. 

Over the years, this workshop has had the original approach of offering a meeting place and exchange of ideas between researchers in various fields of Theoretical physics that make use of common computational methods. 

In the last editions of the workshop, much space has been dedicated to the presentation of results and methods of theoretical computational physics at the frontier of HPC (High Performance Computing) and new quantum computing algorithms. 

The current XIX edition will see the participation of about 80 researchers from national and foreign institutions. They will present about 40 articles in various fields: Lattice Field Theories, Statistical Mechanics, Complex Systems, Astroparticle Physics, Nuclear Physics, Condensed Matter. 

This workshop is an important appointment, also in the light of the significant commitment of INFN and the entire scientific community within the Italian Center for Supercomputing (ICSC-PNRR).
