21st International Workshop on Advanced Computing and Analysis Techniques for Research in Physics.
The 21st International Workshop on Advanced Computing and Analysis Techniques for Research in Physics (ACAT 2022) will take place from Monday 24 to Friday 28 October 2022 at Villa Romanazzi Carducci in Bari.
The 21st edition of ACAT will once again bring together computational experts from a wide range of disciplines, including particle physics, nuclear physics, astrophysics and accelerator physics, as well as high-performance computing.
The aim of the workshop is to explore the overlapping areas of these disciplines, favoring the exchange on the most advanced topics in the computer field, on data analysis and on the technologies used in the calculation of theoretical physics.
The theme of ACAT 2022 will reflect the growing adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques as standard tools in science and beyond.
Successes and new challenges related to the use of these advanced computing technologies will be presented and discussed.
The organization of this event was possible thanks to a great commitment both internationally and locally, by a large team of people from the INFN Section of Bari, of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” and of the Polytechnic of Bari.
David Britton (Glasgow University) chairs the International Committee and Axel Naumann (CERN) chairs the Scientific Program Committee.
Lucia Silvestris (INFN-Bari) chairs the Local Organizing Committee.
